The reminder of fundamentals
In October 2023, ANSSI published a guide on the fundamentals of safeguarding information systems. The data copy is part of a broader preparation for incidents and recovery needs. ANSSI, fundamentals published in October 2023.
The report of a backup task provides information on an operation. It shall not be confused with a test showing that a document or service can actually be recovered.
Define what to find
The activity manager must specify the important data, time required and acceptable time to return to work. This information provides a framework for technical choices.
A test may be carried out on a larger document or package, depending on the perimeter selected. The result shall be described with what has been checked and the test limits.
Arranging responsibilities
Alerts must have a recipient and processing procedure. A default backup must not remain a notification without an identified interlocutor.
