Measure wiring and maintain visibility of remaining fault

After a first test, a new measurement campaign takes up the links identified in error. The check results in a report which distinguishes the satisfactory points of the cable still to be reworked.

Resuming already identified links

On a professional site, a first recipe for wiring highlighted errors. The next step is not to assume that the corrections have all worked out: the customer asks for a new measurement pass. Alltech prepares a targeted intervention on the relevant links. The need is shared with the construction company and the site user so that everyone knows what needs to be checked. The aim is to have a state after recovery, sufficiently precise to decide what actions are still needed.

Preparing for control and correction options

The proposal defines a passage to the certifier with the presence of technicians. The measuring equipment must be reserved and the date coordinated with the stakeholders. The framework also provides a practical possibility: if a correction can be made while they are present and time permits, another pass can follow. Control and recovery are thus not confused. We know what is covered by the measurement, what requires intervention on the wiring and under what conditions a new verification can be organized.

Returning a workable result

Once the agreement has been reached and the passage organised, the measurement reports are transmitted. A link has a revealing contrast: its continuity control displays "Pass", while its overall qualification displays "Failure". There is still a concordance defect, despite a connection whose wires are correctly identified. The control thus goes beyond the only electrical continuity. The record retains this exception and provides for a resumption of the liaison. It makes it possible to distinguish satisfactory results from the point which still requires technical action.

Press on the actual state of the installation

This campaign shows the benefit of an after-work inspection: documenting the situation obtained, keeping track of an anomaly and guiding what happens next. Connected equipment may depend on a connection whose fault is not visible to the naked eye. Measuring helps to examine this dependency before making multiple changes to positions or devices. For people who follow the site, the report serves as a common starting point: it makes the findings shareable and avoids losing the remaining subject in an overly general assessment of the network.
