2015: Plan the Wi-Fi project before counting access points
Surface, walls, uses and connections: the first questions of a project remain more useful than an isolated number of access points.
Topic year 2015

Moving from need to cover
The 2015 Wi-Fi project requests remind us of an ongoing question: what do we want to operate and in which spaces? The preparation of an offer cannot be limited to a number of terminals without description of the building.
A workspace, a room and an area of passage may have different constraints. The plans and intended uses provide a framework for the technical discussion.
Preparing usable information
Gather a legible plan, priority areas and known network arrivals. Note where users report difficulty and devices that must remain usable.
The availability of an electrical outlet or network cable at the intended location must be verified. The project budget also includes pathways and implementation, not just radio equipment.
Define the expected tests
A reception of useful works is being prepared from the start: what parts to visit, which devices to use and which applications to control? These tests allow us to discuss a concrete result without promising the same flow everywhere.
Alltech can prepare equipment, supports and connections with the team's network skills. A first request may start with the location, plan and some specific examples of difficulties encountered.
