Intercom: taking over the accommodation left outside of a collective renovation

Saint Clair ImmobilierMarch 2021 · takeover of accommodation after collective renovation

A difficulty in an apartment leads to the history of the installation. The monitoring distinguishes the collective equipment from the private handset, then organizes access and recovery.

Back to the history of the installation

In a condominium, an intercom that no longer works in a home can give the impression that the entire system is at fault. Here, examination of the file leads to another explanation. The collective installation was renewed several years ago, but the new handset was not installed in the apartment concerned. Access was not possible at the time of this operation. The problem must therefore be addressed at the scale of the accommodation and its equipment, taking into account the renovation already carried out in the common areas.

Define a targeted recovery

After making contact and scheduling a visit, the team returns this history to the manager. This distinction makes it possible to prepare a proposal relating to the labor and travel necessary for the recovery. The perimeter is thus linked to a specific situation: private equipment which has not followed the evolution of the collective system. Before starting a general replacement again, it is necessary to understand what has really changed, what has remained in place and the conditions in which the different operations were carried out.

Organize the conditions of access to housing

Validation of the estimate does not alone resolve the question of intervention. You must also be able to enter the apartment. The manager organizes the recovery of the keys and requests their return at the end of the work, after the planned checks. This preparation directly responds to the difficulty encountered during the previous renovation. It makes it possible to coordinate the passage of the technician with the responsibilities of the owner and the manager, without letting access to the accommodation become a new blocking point on the day of the appointment.

Keep a useful track of the recovery

After the visit, the manager asks for the photographs taken by the employee. The images and the invoice are transmitted to complete the follow-up of the file. This case highlights an often discreet aspect of collective intercom: the state of an installation also depends on the history of each of the accommodations. Finding this history, isolating the private perimeter and preparing access provides a more precise framework for the intervention. The traceability of the passage then helps the interlocutors to understand what was taken care of and to retain the information for the future.

The stages of the March 2021 transition.

The file followed with Saint Clair Immobilier finds a collective renovation from 2014. The accommodation concerned had not received its new combination due to lack of access. On March 12, 2021, the agreement on the takeover is accompanied by the organization of the keys and their return after the planned checks.

On March 17, the manager requests the photographs taken by the employee; Alltech transmits the images and the invoice. These elements retrace the passage and its follow-up. User tests must also be kept at the correct level in the file.
